Our Story

In 2014, Nathaniel and Kerianne started the multi-year process of buying the farm. Nathaniel transitioned from working full-time at UVM Extension as an agronomist and part-time at the farm to working full-time at the farm and taking over management.

The farm had been organic since 2006 and since the practice of rotational grazing was already in place, the transition to 100% grass-fed in 2019 was a no-brainer.

In the same year, Carleton Yoder, owner of Champlain Valley Creamery, started buying our milk. We are proud to be the exclusive provider of milk for his award winning cheese!

Nathaniel and Kerianne completed the final purchase of the business, cows, and equipment in 2021. In 2022, we purchased the land, barns, and farmhouse.

In June of 2024, we opened a pick your own organic strawberry patch!

During the fall of 2024, we built a new heifer barn. The first purple barn! This was a big project to improve conditions for our animals during the winter and spring.

The summer and fall of 2025 was the major renovation and expansion of the dairy barn (aka cow castle).
